Point of View: Lost Places features four large folding maps that show a scene with hidden objects in a 3D style, but each map presents the scene from a different perspective, and each player or pair of players sees only one map at a time. As a result, no one has a complete overview of what is in the scene, so teamwork becomes essential and communication is key.

The game includes 4 x 40 puzzle cards that challenge players with a wide variety of tasks. What do the others see that one player does not? To solve the puzzles, players must talk intensively about what they see and what they do not see. Over four chapters, players will immerse themselves in exciting adventures and face new challenges. Abstract thinking and cooperation are required, with each chapter taking roughly two hours to complete.
